I’m very relieved indeed we can move past this, thanks for your magnanimity

my parents have lived in the same house since before I was born so I go back there fairly regularly. plus it’s only just outside London so it’s not exactly a trek.

not to say I enjoy going back there or anything.

Bad man does indeed return

How was your trip to Reykjavik, btw? Did you get to see any of the Airwaves stuff?

Exactly three months ago. Is five and a half thousand km away though.

This is an extremely boring way to make such a strange boast.

Boast ? How do you perceive this as a boast?

The place I grew up in? I go back monthly pretty much.

The place I was born in and lived for the first 18 months? Go back annually on average to lay flowers on a gravestone.

about three weeks. family still stay there isn’t it.

I cannot recall properly visiting since my parents lived there in 2007, but I must have visited since then as my grandparents live there.

I did cycle through there on May 1 2016 along with @japes and @rich-t and I have “gone” there to catch various boats and that back over to Southampton.

the whole island counts as a hometown

3/4th December. Stayed over night after seeing Low in Brighton.

Pretty sure @plasticniki cycled past earlier in the year, as has walks001

It was good! it was incredibly expensive - basically we were trying to do it on too small a budget in all honesty but we still managed to have a good time. i got roped into going on an ‘icelandic pony’ (it’s a fucking horse) which was a terrifying hour of my life wasted and we didn’t see the northern lights despite a very long night on a coach, but what a fucking cool city. will definitely go back.

I’m here now, technically home for Christmas although I’ve been up here for work for a few days and am about to go to Manchester for a few before coming back.

About twenty years, maybe? There’s literally no reason for anybody to ever go to Airdrie.

Ooooft. You must literally be Airdrie’s finest export.

Awkwardly, I was born in Hammersmith but have moved around all over. Consider Scarborough my home town and I only even lived there from 16-18. As it’s where the parents and a bunch of friends are, haven’t been since last Christmas though.

Massive anxiety about going back this year, same as last year. It’s an unavoidable exercise at this point.

Bit “world’s tallest dwarf”, but I’ll take it.
