Food courts

And a mightily good one at that!

So the bit with Fanco Manca, Rosa’s Thai etc, where you buy your food and then sit down in the shared seating areas isn’t a food court?

isn’t the slogan ‘live like a king’ or ‘live like the king’ or something like that?

Got horrible food poisoning from some cod croquettas there and only saw about 8 hours of lisbon and about 50 hours of my airbnb

I think it’s a food court, still full of chain places though

What’re you classifying Street Feast or Peckham Levels as meo? Street food market or summink?

ah no its ‘have it your way’.

I once read an interesting article about food courts, if somebody has the link for it.

Not a food court because of real plates and cutlery.

Real down point was I was so excited to eat the custard tarts but only managed one. ONE.

Find the new iteration of the king quite terrifying.

This seems like a remarkably arbitrary line on which to base this distinction.

gonna save everyone some trouble here - a food court is a court shaped space with a range of restaurants encircling a shared seating area.

A lot of the places have become chains since it opened (eg Franco Manca’s), but back when it was built, most of them only had one or two other outlets.

There is 100% a difference though.

how do you know everything, marckee?
