Bought an avocado for the first time last year.

I took a 48 year old man to get falafel for the first time in his life last week.

He loved it.

But he doesn’t like any “greenery” so he had it in a pita bread with chickpeas and houmous. I had to explain that he’s gone for a triple chickpea sandwich there. He had thought falafel was made of cheese.

How is your ripeness judgement going? I used to be quite good at picking ones prime for eating in the next day, but recently my judgement has been all over the shop

I used an avocado for the first time about a month ago. Had eaten them out before and bought guacamole and whatnot, but had never cheffed with one before.

Never liked raw/crunchy onion in my food until probably 2 years ago.

Sampled brown sauce for the first time about 18 month ago.

I started eating liver last year at the age of 35 as I read it’s really good for your health and at the time I was catching a cold nearly every month. Still not entirely sure that I like it but I do seem to be healthier at the moment

Not food but coffee and tea. Didn’t drink either until I was in my early twenties. Felt well sophisticated when I had my first latte from starbucks :smirk:

Didn’t eat chicken/pork until I was 15

Didn’t eat scallops, oysters or mussels until 22(?)

Not really late as such but as a kid I had a fucking horrible aversion to nuts, the smell of them alone would make me feel real queasy. Then at about 15 had a real craving for them. Never looked back.

I hated (and still hate) peanuts and just kind of assumed I hated all nuts. how wrong I was. pistachios were the gateway nut.
