Batshuayi!

Can’t remember a least iconic title sealing than that.

AbsKelly will be dancing round the streets of Knightsbridge tonight!

Extremely fitting way for a league title rollover to be confirmed IMO.

Can they just bin off the rest of the games for the PL season? No one cares now surely.

10 years in the future just called. It doesn’t remember how iconic a title sealing this was.

Iconic generally means ‘in the balance until one of several teams wins it’. This League was a procession, despite what Sky Sports might have folk believe.

Haha never mind the above, just got to watch a fifth league title win in the company of my old man and grandad- will never tire of that :grinning:

Enjoyed Fabregas’ “Football is fucking unbelievable.”

Looks like Lambert is on his way from Wolves. The owners have got another one of Jorge Mendes’ mates lined up as replacement apparently - Because that worked so well with Walter Zenga…

Fucking delighted.

The first thing my Chelsea supporing dad did after the game was text my mum’s Spurs supporting brother. Sent me a message saying ‘he’s not taken it well’

One thing i quite like about Chelsea is that they annoy people who think regularly sacking managers is automatically a negative. The game’s just moved on, and the big clubs are so tough and intense and draining to manage that a two year shelf life’s about the norm. Don’t particularly understand the “but, but…Fergie” line. Conte’s Chelsea have no less of an identity after one year than his United side did after twenty.

Chelsea are a genuine superpower now, and they’ve done it essentially by aping Real Madrid, particularly when it comes to hiring and firing and using the loan system to their advantage. It’s pretty insane how well ran they’ve become when for the first few years it didn’t look like they had much of a plan. They’re the elite club in the country, there’s absolutely no doubt about that.

I agree. If a club is stable off the field and is prepared to spend its megabucks in a structured way, it shows that you can replace various parts of the set up fairly painlessly, provided you stick to quality personnel.

Chelsea are never going to be a team that bring through players from juniors to first team, but they don’t need to.
