He will be a solid utility option who will run through walls for the cause, but he’s not going to tear up trees. He’s lost the yard of pace that made him so effective for us and looked pretty past it on the occasions he was asked to play against fit wingers this season. Still, in terms of tactical fouling there’s no-one better.

Our defensive issues are bad.

Koscielny, Gabriel, Mustafi and Gibbs could all be out for the final. If so we’d either have to play a back three that contained Hector Bellerin, or switch to a back four with Mertesacker and Holding as the two CBs (probably would struggle to handle the pace of Chelsea’s attack).

Hopefully Mustafi will be fit, although we’ll still probably be playing Mertesacker in his second game of the season so not great…

Oh and Sanchez will probably be on one leg.

Think this weekend will see my son go through the rite of passage of watching the first cup final he is going to remember.

He is very excited, although I am not sure whether that is because of the promise of Pizza rather than the game.

Don’t really care who wins, although the prospect of John Terry wanking into his own mouth again at Wembley is rather unpalatable.
