It seems in bad taste in retrospect but given that those details weren’t released at the time (AFAIK) I don’t think UEFA should be hung out to dry for it. I also think it made sense at the time to do a minutes applause for an ex-Arsenal player at a Spurs game than a minutes silence (which although more fitting in some ways would have been inevitably ruined by twats).
Also agree with @dktrfaustus. I guess it’s a minute’s applause for his achievements as a player, not how he acted afterwards.
