Dunno about the greater good, but I think it would be familiar and comforting in these crazy times to see Spain slide back to their rightful place as perennial underachievers. A ropey performance against England inspite of a vastly superior team has a nostalgic quality that I can get behind

Wont be watching though, obviously.

not sure I could handle the ā€˜brave proud brave lionhearted brave southgate poppy brave godsavethequeen brave valiant bloody lions earn hardfought brave 0-0 draw’ narrative

going to the Spain game tonight. pretend to be Spanish so we’re sitting with the away fans, naturally.

Do we all agree that Squires is going through a run of poor form?

aye, that’s shite

Enjoyed the first square but it’s a mess thereafter

Needs to play himself back into form. International break is always a tough run of fixtures though.

Think i hate his fans much more than i hate his work, there was one the other day with something about brexit, and gove as pob

and there were about a dozen comments saying ā€˜omg gove as pob that is absolute genius i can’t believe it, squires has done it again how does he manage it, nail on head. best ever’.

i don’t understand where these people hide - that they are able to be (let’s assume) of above average sentience and the sort of people who would be interested in a heavy handed satirical cartoon, but have left it until november 2016 for their first encounter with a gove=pob reference.

He makes the ā€œwords fail meā€ segment in Private Eye look on the nose.

its a bit Brant isn’t it

Fucking Hell, show me, don’t tell me Squires. There’s more text there than illustrations.

Not a big fan of when he tries to include non-football events, unless it’s really minor subtle stuff. And he hasn’t had a go at Jesse Lingard in a while which is a shame.

Trump is such an easy fucking target and being done to death by everyone at the moment, does it really need to take up a quarter of the thing? Probably not.

Sack Squires!

Bobby Campbell’s died :frowning2:

Bradford City record goalscorer, part of the 1985 team and all round double hard club legend.

Can’t be bothered to watch an England game where Jesse Lingard is in the squad ahead of Wilf Zaha, let alone starting.

Just glad the new coach is picking players based on form and not reputa… yadayadayada.

What are we going to learn playing Gary fucking Cahill or Joe Harto in friendlies? Stick the kids in, ffs.

Got a feeling some gormless sloth, probably Eric Dier, might maim El Mago.

Pelanty!

That’s a gorgeous pass
