Not really. Best way to look at it is it’s the fifth biggest deal in world football and they’re nowhere near the fifth biggest club. If anything it’s significantly overpriced…but it’s all a scam anyway and all the big clubs are in on it.

Hard to judge what deals should be worth, really. Lots of the factors are hard to quantify really. Less than United but more than anyone else is probably about right over recent years.

These deals usually contain break clauses or compulsory renegotiation clauses, so i’m not sure.

Also £60m a season is a huge amount of money comparatively. City’s is £12m. I’d expect the next one to be around £30m. Similar fan bases domestically. Chelsea probably shift more shirts nationwide and especially abroad, but…

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if these deals were being inflated to balance books at clubs. It all seems a lot of money to me.

Sometimes it can be the bookies playing games. Dyche went to odds on before Bruce was unveiled the other day. Not sure it takes a huge amount of money to make managerial odds tumble either.
