It’s the new my old man’s a dustman

a hard working bus driver in the east end!

actually wouldn’t be adverse to a larger stadium, purely because its really difficult to get tickets even as a ‘member’. tried to get tickets for the palace match next month today, and they were apparently sold out before lunchtime.

You wouldn’t want Bergkamp in then? In some capacity at least?

Big fan of Spurs making their new one 61,000 as Arsenal’s is 60,000

If it was the other way round, Arsenal would have made it 60,001.

I hope Wayne Rooney for some reason knows that there’s some dweebs on the Internet who know him as the barnacle.

Don’t really know. There have been a lot of calls for more club legends to be involved in coaching at arsenal over the years, when a lot of those legends are clearly under qualified.

If big D is good enough then great. We have Steve Bould as our assistant anyway, bald though he may be.

Scunthorpe at home tonight. One team has 2 points from 7 games, the other 3. Misery awaits

“We’re going to play nine 10-minute games against Arsenal. We’re playing 10-minute training games so they get used to this mentality. We understand that Arsenal could blow us away. We could play our very best and still get beaten 5-0 but we want to train the players’ minds for these 10-minute games. We might go three down in the first 10 minutes. If we do, then the players must draw a line and start at 0-0 for the next 10-minute game. How many 10-minute games can we be competitive?"

Danny, stop saying ‘10-minute games’.

I really like Danny Cowley, repetitious nature of that quote notwithstanding.

Seen him at close quarters on three or four occasions when he was at Concord Rangers and he definitely had something about him that most managers at Non League level don’t in terms of tactical nous and ability to set his teams up. Not only that, but he appears to be a really good man-manager.

A few years ago, Concord were in a play-off semi-final that went to penalties. Before the shoot-out, when they were sorting out takers he told his players something along the lines of “If you score, it’s your glory - if you miss, the responsibility lies with me and me alone.” That’s not a bad way to remove pressure from the shoulders of your players.

Also, unlike some managers that have gone on to make it in the full-time game, he’s cut his teeth at unfashionable clubs without sky-high budgets compared to their stable-mates. His achievements at Concord and Braintree rightly earned him his chance at Lincoln.

@boothyfearssatan IT’S ON

Aye, I can’t say I know too much about him but the FA Cup wins against Ipswich, Brighton and Burnley were no flukes. We’ve been languishing in the non-leagues ever since Keith Alexander (RIP) left so I’m delighted with our league form this season, this cup run is an absolute bonus.

When the fixture list came out, I always thought this might be one where one team needed a win to stay in touch with the automatic promotion places.

we’re crawling back up, you’ll see. Brighton are lookig over their shoulders

Return of the Jedi. No coincidence?
