Just properly remembered that I might be able to apply for EU citizenship on account of having Greek-Cypriot heritage. I started looking into this back in 2017 but it’s a bit of a nightmare.
My grandparents, who came from a farming village, couldn’t read or write Greek let alone English, and their land has been under Turkish occupation since the 70s, so the paper trail is very difficult to follow. Might need to go to their old Greek Orthodox church in London and look at the records they have for my family. Not entirely sure it’s worth the bother but seems like I may as well see where I get with it
