Went on the daily huddle to socialise with my team as I felt like I hadn’t done it for a while and I should do. Put on makeup and that to look presentable. The guys were talking about learning languages. No one said anything to me and I tried to join in but just got talked over. then one of the other people in the team joined and they were all hey how are you!!! Whereas literally no-one acknowledged I was there at any point. After 15 minutes I totally gave up and spent the last 10 mins on my phone with a face like a slapped arse which I don’t think is helping me.

Feel really shit about it to be honest. I’ve stopped going on those calls because they’re all married/getting married and have life responsibilities, like literally chatting about their mortgages on calls. Totally different world to me. Weirdly I get on better with the other team I work with even though they’re older and have even more settled lives. they’re way more fun!

Edit: in the final 5 minutes my manager picked up that I didn’t look thrilled and checked in with me directly :sweat_smile:
