Makes me want to paint my bike Yellow.
Highly recommend Its Hard To Find A Friend by Pedro the Lion at the very least.
Huge fan of Deerhunter and Sharon Van Etten, really like James Blake too but thereās definitely some lulls overall.
Tried Twilight Sad but itās not clicking for me, will try it again as I want to like it.
My buddy put out an ep last week, ffo Mazzy Star, Slowdive etc. I play lead guitar on track 2 (jag?)
The James Blake is a bit patchy on first listen- some bland bits. The track with Travis Scott is great though.
Listened to it on repeat whilst cleaning my flat earlier. Yep. Itās a great album.
Shite
Profoundly disappointed by it. I like a couple of songs but it all seems under written. Not nearly as good as their first 2 albums
Yup exactly, worryingly it apparently it came from 60 tracks and hours of jamming so yeah
The Sharon Van Etten and Deerhunter both sound very enjoyable after 2-3 listens each.
Really wish bands would stop putting cack like DƩtournement on albums though.
Sharon Van Etten is excellent. Seventeen is the Stevie Nicks power-ballad i didnt know I needed in 2019ā¦such a tune
In the lead for extremely early album of the year
Pedro The Lion LP finally arrived today. Fucking brilliant like.
6 years since their last. Buke and Gase dropped āScholarsā on Friday.
And itās shite!
Cheers - itās good, but is it blasphemy to say I think I prefer the latest offering (which Iām still absolutely loving)
Not at all mate. As long as youāre enjoying it thatās the main thing. It just happens t be my (and bazans) fave. If you love the new one probably try his self titled stuff working back from Blanco.
Really enjoying this Malibu Ken album. Good recommendation.
Yeah, know what you meanā¦although Hold Time from the mid-period is my favourite - perhaps a controversial pick
Just having a listen to Aukai - Reminiscence which is sounding like some very nice instrumental stuff so far. It has the Agnes Obelās cellist playing on it also, so thatās another plus for me.
