You and me both. Having worked in pubs for years before this I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever had a bank holiday weekend off since I left university 10 years ago. Bank holidays are Vienna.

Edit: I’ve just woken up and I can’t tell if this reference/joke works or not but I’ll assume it doesn’t and hang my head in shame anyway.

The August bank holiday always fills me with melancholy I have clung on to from being a kid as it always meant school was about to start again and I’ve never been able to shake this off.

Off to see Lizzo tonight which should be a lot of fun. Lunch with pals tomorrow, maybe carnival on Sunday if the weather is decent.

Looks like a mouse has been at a cereal box, was really hoping that the mouse was gone but I can’t think of any other explanation for the damage :frowning:

Was meant to be my day off but I’m keeping R home as he isn’t quite recovered from his stomach bug.

No bank holiday plans, just means that I will be avoiding going anywhere Monday because places will be busy and the library closed.

WFH today. Hopefully popping to the garage to get a bulb changed on my car (I’m not lazy, I’ve got a stupid French car), then picking up new specs at lunchtime, so that’ll be something for the Selfie thread, eh?

Sunday back to Yorkshire.

Today is my second 9am to 9pm shift of the week. I really cba.

Tomorrow I’m going to London to see Alan Bennetts new play.

Sunday will be a lazy day watching football, and Monday I’ll probably visit a castle of some kind.

Picking up my new (older) dog from the shelter this morning. I feel like it warrants a :smiley:

All other plans for the weekend shelved - except for the part where I offload the kids onto my Mam for a few days.
