Hehe the Hellraiser one was just my sister’s but yeah those were great - that Jack Frost cover in particular I really remember!
The various Nightmare on Elm Streets covers too, the original Ring with that close up of her eye and lots of hair (pretty ronseal tbf), Candyman, Dead Alive - all stuck in my brain forever with the smell of that carpet. Picking a film to watch was so much more of a hard choice then, now we can just stick anything on!

Off the back of those first two albums in your rotation, can I recommend you check out the new Alison Crutchfield record? I’ve a slight inkling that it’ll be right up your street!

Definitely, thanks man! I’ll check it out and report back

Never forget

Hands down my favourite January release

Yep, back permanently (until the next business trip). And yeah, I always tell myself when we’re apart that I’m going to revel in my solitude before realising that I actually quite like having someone to talk to after a marathon gaming session - I find this reassuring!
Valley Uprising is on my to-do list - is it good? Weather is pretty crappy in Yosemite at this time of year - was hoping to get over to Bishop with a guy I know who moved over, but he’s in LA and I didn’t really fancy a 7 hour drive by myself! So I’ve contented myself with climbing 4 or 5 days a week and pretending I don’t have tendinitis in my right ring finger.

Yes. Often the only place in town I can reliably get a meal.

Just home now. Saw five bands tonight, along with drinking with some ATDs. I think there’s a house party going on somewhere but I have work in the morning and a gig to play tomorrow night so I figure I should be sharp for tomorrow.

Date went well earlier. I really like her but am just trying to figure out if she likes me. Haven’t been in this situation in years but I’ll figure it out. Tempted to invite her to our gig tomorrow night but I realise we play improvised noise rock and that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

Christ. I would overcome my shy and slow eating habits to spend as little time as possible in places like that.

Yeah, I get back just before our 10 year anniversary which will be amazing

I’ve been climbing for 5 years now. It’s super easy to get into bouldering, in particular, and the ultimate obsessive hobby! Conversely, I try and avoid hill-walking in case I build up any leg muscles which will weigh me down when I’m swinging around…

Ducks! Ducks! Ducks! :hockey:

Urm you’re not missing much!

I asked her! She wants to come and see us!

This could be the tipping point. We’re either going to be amazing or so freaky that we piss her off. Hopefully the former. fingers crossed

This is what we sound like by the way AOTW. Pretty intense stuff.

Also, I fucking loved Decapitated! Yes!

If I can get the two other guys to agree we’d happily play a UK tour. Problem is one of them is a jazz genius who’s just released a 2xLP and is touring that, while our synth player is a sought after visual artist who has zero free time.

Check out our drummer’s music:

And here’s an extract from our synth player’s work:

I’m the odd one out here!

really like the artwork

I always associate Doom Bar with having train beers on the way down to Devon  I think the brewery has been bought out by a Big Brewer but I still enjoy it. Same with Tribute.
