Our stoner goth neighbours moved out very suddenly and the first we knew of it was a viewing happening a few days ago by some student lads :frowning: eavesdropped on the whole convo and from what I could hear the landlord was really haranguing them about guarantors so I assume there was an issue with previous tenants not paying rent or something?

Anyway today - first day for ages where I’ve fallen asleep before 2am, was having a really nice gentle sleep - I got rudely awoken at half 8 by clanging and drilling and it turns out they are putting scaffolding up. I think it’s so incredibly rude when neighbouring houses get building work done and the landlords don’t bother to inform next door that there will be disruption. Especially because it happens on like a yearly basis with our directly neighbouring houses. Fuming.

Morning all :sun_with_face: it’s look lovely outside at the moment, bit windy though.

Sitting in the kitchen having just made myself a coffee. Been getting this milk recently -

OH MY WORD it is good milk.

Had a kissing dream about a fellow DiSer last night :blush: which was very nice.

Got some bits and bobs to do in the flat. Been trying to organise things a bit more recently, I’ve got a massive pile of things that will be going to charity when I’m able to do so.

Downstairs flat was being cleaned out last night after the previous tenant moved out. Never heard a peep out of them. Wonder who’s going to move in :grimacing:.

Both our neighbouring houses are empty at the moment. Going to miss the stoner goths and their cats but do not miss the couple who lived at the other house, the guy who lived there would knock on our door and aggressively accuse us of stuff that had nothing to do with us (“YOUR CAT KEEPS COMING INTO OUR GARDEN.” “we don’t have a cat” “BUT IT’S NORMALLY IN YOUR GARDEN” “still not ours” / “YOUR GARDEN STINKS AND IT’S ANTISOCIAL TO US” turned out that the park next to our houses had been recently manured)

I got into an argument with some contractors who were there to put an extractor fan into the bathroom of the house we were renting because I wouldn’t give them permission to go into next door’s garden and climb onto their roof (!) to get access to the roof section of ours they needed to access, unless they contacted the tenants and landlord of next door first.

Kept looking at me like I was the one being a prick.

Yeah especially hard this time around as we’re writing them as if it’s Easter and it’s predicted for the end of year. Basically trying to think back to pre Covid normality which is quite difficult

Morning,
My plan is to go for a nice long walk and pick up a fresh loaf of bread from the deli, a small jar of Furikake from… somewhere, come home, eat and then sleep peacefully all afternoon so I feel fresh and ready for my upcoming nightshifts starting tonight
