It seems to be a local quirk but almost all shows in Edinburgh are done by 10pm. It’s great.

Most of the venues in Brighton hold club nights after the gigs, so they’re normally done by 10.30. it’s an absolute killer when I go to London for a gig which finishes later than most gigs I go to then I have to do the journey home knackered, a bit pissed and on a train which inevitably stops everywhere.

i’m sure there’s a 10pm curfew in edinburgh for all live music

Used to love going to audio (now patterns) on a Tuesday or Friday as all gigs would finish at 9.30pm, then an hour drive back to Chichester, in bed by 11.

This is a motto for life that I can truly get behind.

Upset the Rhythm used to be terrible for late running (maybe still are?). Remember a Casiotone for the Painfully Alone show on a Sunday night at the Luminaire that went on until nearly midnight.

It’s properly shit, totally restricts who can access live music.

The show they put on on Wednesday finished at 22:35 hours.

Surely his only entertainment currently is eating breakfasts in Margate?

Even when he’s eating a giant breakfast in Margate, he’s still playing a gig in Camden. I’m not a physicist, so I don’t know how it works, but it’s definitely a science-fact.
