Blah, I’ve had a rubbish few days so went into town for a couple of pints solo and ended up walking home in the rain. Linen jackets and converse really aren’t great wet weather attire…

I also discussed the Handmaid’s Tale at my book club tonight. We’re much less structured than you though and it usually descends into shitchat after 15 minutes.

Got a nice paid meal via work. Am supposed to be working tonight + tomorrow doing setup before the students arrive for the course on Sunday, but there is nothing to set up. We only have 15 students in the first week and got it all done this afternoon, so I am basically being paid for hanging around.

Went out for work beers and ate an enormous calzone. Managed to offend a colleague with what i thought was a fairly innocuous comment and then got into a beeve with a woman in the street for absolutely no reason. Time for bed i reckon.

Ugh idk it’s a long story. We’d been talking about religion for a while and i said something clumsy about people believing in an eternal paradise and she took offense. It just sounded like a barb but wasnt intended as one at all.
