cool, thanks. was thinking about getting the rust-coloured one from the new collection, but i think i’ll give it a miss now (i like things to set).
i reaaaalllly don’t need any more lipsticks, but might get one of the matte ones from thebalm which i keep reading rave reviews about. i’ve only tried the cheaper liquid lipsticks - nyx, makeup revolution, and an l.a. girl one from the us.

I haven’t heard much about the balm ones. Their lip strain is my favourite though. I think nyx do the best high street liquid lipsticks atm, both the soft mattte lip cremes and the liquid suede. They have a great range of colours too that really seems to be lacking in the high end lot.

Me and Jnr not well and I’ve got a tour tomorrow and then work all afternoon selling my guides on a stall in London Road fire station. FFS. Literally just came out of nowhere, she projectile vomited in a bar, until we were both soaked head to toe and I had to carry her all the way home both cold and wet and feeling ill. BLEUGH. Really need to train someone up to be able to run my tours when stuff like this happens as I can’t cancel but it’s going to be horrendous.

Getting used to the new boards, maaaaan. Also listening to “Systems / Layers” by Rachel’s, slowly writing something, and generally feeling tired. I like that there’s those badge / achievement sort of things. Sense of accomplishment and that.

Cheers for the rec! I only have “Systems / Layers” and an EP (of mainly off-cuts, I think, one of the tracks is an ambient recording that’s utilised on “Systems…”) that seems to have been left behind on my old laptop.

On this note, it’s amazing how much creativity came out of Louisville, KY post-hardcore / punk scene / Britt Walford’s parents’ basement (the Slint doc, “Breadcrumb Trail” is great if you’re into this whole lineage, if you’ve not seen it).

Been meaning to watch that for years. Spider land remains a bit of a mystery to me. Part of the appeal though I think.

If yr into them IMO music for egon schiele is essential with handwriting coming a close second.
