Really fancy a beer but I gave blood an hour ago, so that’s probably not wise, is it? Especially as I have to go and pick my daughter up from guides in forty minutes.
It’s a Queen or something so I can actually lie flat. I sleep in the foetal position though….crying.

I sure I heard somewhere that they used to recommend having some stout after giving blood, due to the iron content or something. This might be an urban myth, however.

You can get shit faced off half a can when you have finished driving. One of my ATDs gave blood before going out because he thought it would help him get pissed without spending a fortune. Unfortunately he felt really ill rather than hilariously drunk so went home early.
@blimeycharlie - As far as I understand it isn’t an urban myth but alcohol prevents your body absorbing iron so it doesn’t actually have the effect you think it will.

Had a very disappointing Mexican - they forgot to include the sweet potato fries and and the quesadilla was cold
Watched a load of Seinfeld with beer but switched to listening to the records I got earlier
Dug one of my special 
out the freezer so I’ll probably be fairly catatonic in an hour or so
