So that amazing @fappable gave me a code to get a free hello fresh delivery and wow I’m quite literally amazed.

Maybe I’m being overly excited but it seems like it’s actually pretty good value too…40 quid for five meals for two?

@rich-t @hankscorpio @anon67149139 you ever had pizza from here?

i had my eyes tested the other week. the first few lenses she gave me i was like, cant see a thing tbh. we couldnt figure out why at first, turns out id fogged up the lens with my mask so i had to take it off. at the end of it my prescription hadnt changed, ive just been having headaches and shit from looking at screens for like 25 hours a day since the start of lockdown

oh just reading the frames chat, i was allowed to try some on but no more than 5 pairs coz they cba cleaning them. felt bad when i tried a bunch and the only ones i liked, it turned out, were the same frames as the one i was wearing, so i fucked it off and went home

oh that’s good they let you try them on. I got the impression that wasn’t an option, I guess they’re trying to limit any one person’s time in the shop. I hate choosing glasses, maybe I’ll decide another time.

yeah they jumped on me when i came in and took me through to the back for my test, with a one way system which i guess you cant do for every branch. then i could try on five pairs coz they were cleaning them straight after people tried them. there were a couple of people coming in to browse but they jumped on them and just asked them not to try things on if they werent buying. its not easy tho

My glasses advice is to either do what I do (buy basically the same frames every three years or so) or what Wor Lass does (find somewhere cheap online for frames and order about seven pairs a year in different styles and colours).

I did the online thing and got two pairs for £10-20 or something ridiculous. I only wear them in the house and it’s contacts for me when I’m out and about.

Oooh yay what recipes did you end up going for?

I don’t mind doing it as a treat sometimes, but personally I feel £40 for 5 meals is a bit steep. :see_no_evil:

No but their truck gets out to Alton a couple of times a week. Very popular. It’s a mobile pizza truck thing.

About six or seven years ago I used to do 10K several times a week but my legs and knees began to hurt.

I moved down to 5K but then bought a rowing machine which I really enjoyed but that broke and I restarted my running again. I’ve got a new rower coming in early August according to Amazon but I’ll try and maintain a weekly 5K.

I forgot about how good you feel due to the endorphins released. I would recommend some slight outdoor exercise if anyone is feeling a bit down. It works for me for a little pick me up.

Some noisy wall demolition and replacement going on in adjoining garden to ours. Was feeling quite not good anyway and this is making me miserable and further fraying my nerves.

Spiced pork ragu
Chermoula chicken
Thai beef with rice
Lamb pilaf
Mango chutney glazed spiced chicken breast
