FUCK, guys. So I’m sitting in the livingroom and I hear some dribbling water, I go check all the taps in the flat, I look at the radiators… no noise, everything seems find but I can still hear the water… I look up and the ceiling in corner of the living room is dripping :confused:

I went upstairs, knock on the flat door and there’s a workman who tells me that he’s working on the heating system and two cups worth of water have come out and gone into the floor. Apparently he’s removed some stuff from the floor that would normally absorb that water and that’s why it’s coming through the ceiling and I have nothing to worry about, the leak has stopped and it’ll dry out. I’ve taken his card and he said he’ll come check on it when he’s next in.

IS THIS BOLLOCKS? I hate stuff like this. The dripping seems to have stopped.

I know!! That’s what I thought. I’ve had so much coffee Lo-Pan, I can’t handle this. I think when I was talking to him I looked a bit insane.

No way is two cups of water gonna leak into a flat below, unless you have obscenely thin floors in your block, that being said if hat were the case then they’d have fallen down by now.

Bahaha!!! He totally would, my Dad is hardcore.

I just spoke to him, he reassured me. Just need to keep an eye on it. I always feel stupid around workmen, I’m always panicking to take everything that they’re saying in so much that I don’t take any of it in! Haha!!

This is why I need to get mega amazing at DIY and absorb all the knowledge!! My Dad bought me a really cool power drill that I’m too afraid to use :confused:

A friend of mine was laying off the drink for a while and we asked him what he was up to that Friday night whilst we were all going to the pub. “Ah, I think I’ll just stay in and read a book on DIY” :joy: He wasn’t even doing any DIY. I think I might have to do the same.

My dad got me some power drill diy set type hing for Christmas a few years back, can’t help but think he was trying to tell me something :thinking::thinking:

I have actually, but normally just when I am acting out scenes from a film and it makes a pretty good gun replacement :wink:

I’m waiting for the Virgin Media men to come round, I’ve got very little work to do, it’s 3:30pm on a Friday and there’s about 6 pubs within a 60 second walk of my house.

It seems like a foregone conclusion what happens next.

I decided that a bloody good pint of ale would liven me up so I went to the Craft Beer Pub in Islington and a mate was there who insisted on buying me a pint and… a good time was had by all.
