Alright lad(ie)s? I’m finally buying a new bike tonight!

Put the feelers out to a few pals for a charity ride from London to Brighton in honour of my ma-in-law and to raise some dough for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Got a really good response rate so hopefully gonna start setting that up in time for the August 12th ride date.

Heading to Kennington to see a client this afternoon, I have to wear a shirt and everything :rolling_eyes:

I’m also ill, have been for a few days but had the end of a really long project so had to go in anyway. WFH today though so I can slather myself in vicks and no one can judge me (shouldn’t have had a run last night)

I will hopefully be going to see @elthamsmateowen’s band tonight as well.

I have managed to triple book myself this evening, so I need to make sure I leave the office on time today.

If all goes to plan, I’ll also be picking up my bike on Sunday too. Woo!

Are you just very good at compartmentalising in your brain or does your job just not get in the way of concentrating on the books you’re listening to? I’ve tried listening to podcasts while working and I just can’t concentrate on both.

As for audio books, I used to love them as a child. Chivers Audio ones complete and unabridged were my jam…

yesterday i found out that i can just go to the local university library and just use all their stuff to do work / research etc
i just had to fill in my details and i can just go and use the resources! i’m not allowed to take books out of anything, but i can pretty much use it as a workplace, plug my laptop in, it’s crazy quiet, 24 hr access, beautiful building
i’m going to use it on my ‘research / development’ days in my new freelance life, just to get out of the house and away from distractions
this has totally blown my mind and is going to be amazing - was looking at renting a desk in a communal workspace before and now don’t need to at all!
