yeah. asda and tescos are all either awful or take two weeks to ripen. i have better results with lidl but my favourite is to go to sainsburys local and get some of the ripened fairtrade ones for 2p each

also having a lot of bother with courgettes. i think maybe people are being too rough with loose fruit. i’m not one to squeeze things before i put them into my basket but i might be in the minority?

i’m not #hating because i’ve been a half-arsed, hungover student twat that works in a supermarket but the way some of the lads chuck the bananas in the box cant be helping.

I’m also worried it’s a wider trend - there’s been a lot about that banana disease and how they’re all genetically identical - maybe this is us running out of bananas?

i do all i can, but maybe i’m giving them too much weight on top. I usually think they need to go nearish the bottom of the bag and can handle some other veg/fruit resting on top? Maybe they need prioritising.

hopefully those vegan people who eat 25 bananas a day will raise awareness of banana disease as it’s immune to fungicides and the poor bananas could probably do with all the help they can get.

who do you reckon is a fruit squeezer on here? always astounds me when people stand there for ages touching every bit of the fruit and veg instead of assessing what looks the best then moving on with their shop.

Antoinette! Is this Catsdown or normal Countdown? There was a big furore on the Countdown forum during her octorun where one of the biggest bozos on there said he didn’t like her hair and that it made her look old.

Oh! I’m just totally used to ROADMAN being a word. She had an insane number of 9s available in her octorun and got a higher score than she prob should’ve, but she’s absolutely great, although she’s a wrecking ball on the sauce. Got into a bar fight one night during Champion of Champions and got kicked out of this year’s tournament in Bristol (which was run by a mate of hers) for being too drunk and disorderly. She later took charge of my best friend’s wheelchair, while still off her nut, and ran him up a very steep hill while swerving all over the place. Me and my ex were basically running behind her so that if she let him go, we could catch him… was a really frightening 15 mins of everyone’s life. Then she got ‘lost’ in a very small Wetherspoons and freaked out. Interesting evening
