there’s literally nothing positive about making them available to the general public. big firework displays are always always always better than just letting a few off in your back garden, and if normos couldn’t buy them without a licence then dickhead kids couldn’t fire them at cars on princess parkway

Not advisable to walk past some blocks and estates on fireworks night in se tbh. Remember watching some kids taking pot shots at passers by from the Marquis a few years back. Mad.

Gun club just around the corner puts on a big display each year - which is well put together - I’m sitting in the back garden looking at it now.

Fuck all warning though - first I know of it each year is when the house suddenly sounds like a warzone; this year’s is particularly overwhelming aurally.

I like how they look, but the sound is far too much for me especially considering that is while I am at home so there is nowhere to go to avoid it (headphones or even ear defenders aren’t really effective enough, at lesdt not ones I can afford).

Find them utterly unstimulating - rather be reading or having an enjoyable conversation. Also, watching ten grand evaporate into the aether in a matter of minutes makes life’s hardships seem even more ludicrous and stupid.
