About sums it up.
Good.
Was going to post the piece in question when it went up earlier in the week, but didn’t have the time to coherently dissect what was wrong with it. Glad it’s being properly called out here.
The beeb clearly being terrible, but they wouldn’t do it if car owners weren’t so awful
Feel the way the BBC are centring the article around the cops as people and what they’ve dealt with is very intentional in the current climate
Oh wow I’ve just realised Darren Grimes and Tom Harwood aren’t the same person.
One’s posh and works for Guido/GBNews, the other is from County Durham and was used to launder pro-brexit cash into the UK before being unceremoniously dumped because he was too non-U.
what does this mean?
Is that why Q and Not U are named so?
Dunno. Gonna guess so. Also, Q Without U.
I think it’s just a reference (in both cases) to the fact that a Q is very rarely used in English without a u after it. (In fact I’m not sure there are any cases except for non-Romance/Germanic words rendered into English.)
Ah, I see. Than Q.
Nah its a reference to queuing for a busy supermarket in a pandemic where only 1 person per household is allowed in the store.
Reporting on Bristol protests just now had an officer say “it was the most violent thing she’d ever seen” as she stroked her police horse.
No mention of the fact it was completely peaceful until the police started kettling people as usual…
Prescient and amazing! What a band!
I always thought it was about being in a bind while playing Scrabble.
Sorry if I’ve missed this up the way, but irked to discover that the BBC News website defaulted me to “English” news instead of UK news. Are they pushing an dissolution of the union agenda now? (corrected it to the UK)…
I live in hope.
Bit depressing. My wife and I view ourselves as “British” (not flag wavingly, just don’t “feel” English) whereas when I asked my three children (for the census) whether they were British or English, they said English. Given that the blonde prick doesn’t seem arsed about the union, the pushing of “English” news over news for the full UK doesn’t appeal…
