that’s good, might get into cooking with recipes. I’m sure once I’ve made a couple of things my weird anxiety around buying too much stuff and fucking it all up will disappear and I will unlock a future of flavour!

:slight_smile: fwiw i wasn’t a recipe person either for a long time. I think it’s just something you get familiar with over time but the benefits are definitely worth it

Also my partner follows food people on TikTok and they make some fucking amazing stuff, so if you didn’t want a written recipe you could always look there

Yeah, growing up I ate the same 5 or 6 meals for like 18 years or so, it’s hard to know what you will like when you just eat the same stuff all the time

my dad makes cheese sandwiches for his packed lunch and he takes a tomato with him and alternates bites of his sandwich and bites of the tomato because he doesnt want the bread to get wet. #dadfact

quality tomato sliced up real nice lengthways (none of this quartered chunk nonsense), raw white onion, some black olives, spinach, drizzled with good olive oil and sea salt. add feta for a tasty surprise.

my dad loves cheese and tomato sandwiches. it’s a running joke between him and my mum, except he doesn’t really see the funny side so it’s basically just her taking the piss out of him for making boring sandwiches and him getting annoyed

Fucking love tomatoes, go through a fuck tonne of them. One of those things I buy anytime I’m in the shops even though I know I have plenty at home. :tomato:

Tomato vines are one of my favourite smells. Worked on a tomato growing nursery for work experience and picked tomatoes all day. You have a little trolley that you wheel along the heating ducts of the greenhouse and you brush through the vines. Got coated in that smell and it has always smelt amazing to me.

Anyway, yeah tomatoes are boss

They really are amazing. The best of all the fruits. But such a massive difference in taste between the cheapest and most expensive in super markets. Cheap ones taste of nothing pretty much. My old mum is a great gardener, her home grown toms are the best. So much flavour. And don’t keep them in the fridge people. Should be room temperature… Uh oh, debate incoming…
