In fairness, Julia Louis Dreyfus is just good at doing funny acting. Kind of like saying Matthew Perry is funny if you like Friends. He is not.

Writers are funny. They deserve more credit. I actually think people (not people on this forum - idiots) think the actors are funny, when generally they’re not.

being a good comic actor is a skill though. funny lines aren’t really enough on their own, they have to delivered in a funny way, which Dreyfus is very good at.

*she may have been involved somewhat. If Veep is anything like TTOI they used to improvise quite a bit around the script.

Either way, my point is writers should get more credit. And Julia Louis Dreyfus probably shouldn’t be in with all the people who come up with original comedy, albeit she is excellent at what she does.

He does a good Lil Jon impression and I very much enjoy the Three Daves sketch he did

His sketch show is bad/dated but his stand up can be funny

But he can be homophobic, trying to be edgy and failing.
