I was genuinely so afraid that Nymeria was gonna kill her because she was upset about being chased off with rocks etc back in season 1. Good to see her again though.

They kind of do know how to cure greyscale though don’t they? They managed to cure Shereen. they probably don’t bother trying it on people who are too far gone like Jorah though. Maaan I don’t even care please stop with your weird nitpicking.

They definitely covered this in the episode as well. The Archmaester was like “Err Sam I don’t think that you, a non-maester who has never even read up on the differences of treating greyscale in a baby and a full grown man (in whom it is also way way more progressed), should pretend to be an expert on this” and “The treatment is actually super dangerous and risky so we’ve just stopped doing it altogether”. (Slightly more my words than his but the meaning is the same)

So the last scene of the whole series will almost definitely be Jim Broadbent finishing his book and then writing the title - ASOIAF/Game of Thrones/Tits and Dragons - fade to black.

It’s super dangerous but Sam, having no knowledge of the dangers, is almost certain to pull it off on his first go? Idk nitpicking or not (and fwiw I said it was annoying, not that it ruined the show or anything) I kinda think fantasy & sci-fi shows have to work hard on world-building and stuff to maintain that suspension of disbelief. I’d probably let it slide were Sam not, y’know, in the Smart People of Westeros’ HQ.

Oh absolutely, I’m not saying it’s necessarily the right thing, I’m just saying they have covered the reasons for why no one other than Sam is willing to try.

Edit: And even if it is Smart People HQ, they’re clearly very set in their ways as is evident about their attitudes to the White Walkers amongst other things.

Shit first half thanks to such bad dialogue and attempts to write political machinations.

Thanks fuck there was ACTION later on.

Lyanna Mormont is the star of this show

felt decentish. i’d give it maybe a B-. i’m pretty sure they only had that grey worm/missandei scene because he’s getting merked at casterly rock, which is sad obviously.

what was that nymeria scene all about? is she gone for good or is she coming back? and what did arya mean when she said, “that’s not you”?

theon was always going to get triggered into going full beta again at some point. have to admit i laughed when he jumped off the ship, was python-esque. never actually seen someone go volbeta/volcel on TV before.

“run away, run away!”

yeah that lightning behind his ship seemed well timed if it was coincidence.

Isn’t he just using Cersei’s store of Wildfire or whatever they call Greek Fire in this world?

Wildfire is green.

I interpreted the nymeria thing as her not recognising arya because of the evil path she’s gone down, and arya trying to convince herself that it was just a different wolf

The dialogue’s really fallen off a cliff, hasn’t it
