They comment on how poor the Tyrells are at fighting in this very episode. It’s kind of their thing.

Best episode of the series so far for me. I have the same gripes as above about the sacking of the cities but other than that, some good dialog.

Cersei being an evil bitch with Ellaria was fucking class!
I actually enjoyed Bran returning to Winterfell, got a tiny wee bit emosh. Think Sophie Turner has really come on as an actress but aye, obviously Bran is crap.
FINGER.UP.THE.BUM.
Olenna obviously an absolute standout. So savage going out like that. She’s been an absolute highlight throughout the show. Good ending for her character.
Making me sad that Tyrion is having an absolute mare.

I don’t really understand why Daenerys was up there giving it big licks but now she’s letting Jon mine the dragon glass and asking for nothing in return? Have I missed something there.

Also, this…

Starting to think that this might actually be how it plays out. Everyone’s expecting Daenerys to walk it, but Martin has always said he based it on the bad old days where the people who won these wars were most likely the most ruthless bunch of cunts going. So maybe Lannisters will win out in the end?

you reckon that’s how it will go? everyone will unite, defeat the white walkers and then cersei will kill them all and rule westeros?

would take some balls to end it like that

Hhhhhhhmmmm, I dunno man. I don’t think it will go that way but just wouldn’t rule it out. Just not what people are expecting is it?

Can’t say I’m bothered about the Casterley Rock/Highgarden stuff being covered in 5 minutes. We’ve never been to either place in the show (I think) and the only person situated in either place of any importance to the show was Olenna, and she got a good exit scene.

Not arsed if they sacrifice a bit of sieging(?) for expediency’s sake when it doesn’t involve the main players or locations.

Or is it?

Yeah, it probably is.

When the wine was sat there on the table I was really thinking she’d already poisoned it, and was just waiting for him to drink. Probably what we were supposed to think, I dunno. Maybe given her access to potions, etc she had an antidote ready.

Or maybe she’s just dead.

Great character. Boss to the end. Also yeah all that you did to your brother for killing Joffrey – totes didn’t do it. Lolz.

i was expecting her to start violently choking after jamie was giving it “yeah, totally painless. no worries.”

Olenna will just teleport to Sam, who’ll have read about the antidote in those scrolls. Simple.

Tyrion must have the raging hump with that walk up to the castle.

Yeah, I thought that.

This is the first series I’ve watched week to week - did all the rest in one go. So I’m finding it very slow. Needs more fights. Especially looking forward to seeing Gregor merk someone/get merked.

I reckon it’s not really Gregor, but two dudes on top of each other.

The one bit of Lady Tyrell’s scene with Jamie that pissed me off was when she was like ‘who better to share your truth’s with than someone who’s about to die’ bit too cool for school there, why would she give a shit about his woes in such a calm way when she is about to be offed. And also, as if we didn’t know it was her who killed Joffrey!
