In the books. I can’t recall the training from the early bits of the show now, however, sorry. But blunt or not, that sword in Brienne’s hands would take out an unhelmeted skull if she wasn’t pulling the strokes.

Him eventually killing Cersei is one of the theories I’m sticking with. Just makes too much sense and seems like the only logical conclusion to his character arc. Long way off at the moment, though, if it is in the works.

How come Dany’s mate had never heard the word “bastard” before, but still said it with a southern “barrstard” when she repeated it?

Fucking bullshit that, took me right out of my fairlyland world of dragons and dead dude armies.

But she wouldn’t know it was a word that can be ‘southernised’.

Bronn looks like Ross Barkley.

Good episode.

I hope Jaime has to ditch that stupid gold hand at the bottom of that lake. He can finally have something decent like a hook or an little axe thing. Yessss.

archer “squadrons”, what a joke

But if she knows words like last and plastered then she’d know how to pronounce a new word that fits into that pattern

So then.

Night’s King riding a zombie dragon:

  • Before the end of this season
  • Before the end of the show
  • Don’t tell him, Pike!

Dunno about that, or it could be something right at the very very end, but I think this season is about the destruction of the Lannisters, and next season will be about the Night’s King/Dany and Jon

Well mate, for one thing I wasn’t sure if he was going to keep adding articles (there was only one at the time) and for another, it just takes a bit of simple navigation.

THREAD.

Foreshadowed by him taking his hand off the other week (don’t think we’d seen him take it off before) - reckon he’ll lose it in the water, but then get a new Valyrian steel one giving the finger which he’ll use to kill ice zombie Cersei in the end

Not an original take, but that lake being so deep at the side is fucking stupid.

I did love the dothraki archers standing on their horses at full gallop though! And Bronn unleashing and aiming the crossbow was proper

Yeah that got me too - shouldn’t it have been like a foot deep there? Maybe the ‘sinking into the abyss’ shot was Jaime’s POV because he can’t swim or something. Hopefully next episode will start with Bronn dragging him out of the shallow end and calling him a soft lad.

(Love how tiny things like that irk me as unrealistic but dragons and stuff are just fine)

This was top notch telly! I’m not sure I took a breath during the last 10 minutes of it.

Brann’s still a massive twat and I kinda hoped Bronn’s arrow would hit Dany, not the dragon.

I reckon Jaime’s going to have a symbolic rebirth from the water. In order to get back to the surface, he’ll have to shed his Lannister armour and his gold hand.
He’ll either plod back to King’s Landing, find Cersei and Euron at it and do a Tommen-Tumble OR there will be a Bronn, Tyrion, Jaime meet up where Tyrion finally convinces Jaime that Cersei is a wrong 'un and he should back the dragon team.

As someone said above, King’s Landing will obviously now have about 700 of those ballistas.

Am I right in thinking Iron Bank Man won’t be happy now? Here’s hoping they fuck off so we lose Mark Gatiss doing that one character he knows how to play.

I want Littlefinger to die, but I really want Varys to be there when it happens. Also, Jon still needs The Vale too much.

Is Jaime on Arya’s list? Be kinda nice for the new awesome sworderer to kill the one who was supposed to be the best at the start of the show.

Jon should’ve just killed Theon. I left my sister to get kidnapped, will you help me get her back? After I sacked Winterfell and that? Yeah? Got nothing else on have you?

I do really like Sansa’s arc, but she drains the life out of every scene she’s in at that moment - which is some effort considering she’s in some with Brann.

That battle though. That’s what I’ve been waiting for - dragon’s spouting jets of flame, Dothraki ploughing through Lannisters, Jaime trotting about not knowing what the fuck to do, Bronn’s horse losing a leg, horsey archers, - so much to love!!!
