Status update: Denial, probably caused by grinding pigs

I find the escalations really difficult and, dare I say it, boring.

I haven’t yet bitten the bullet on Hitman 2 despite loving the first one.

Sadly Night in The Woods is now in the sin bin now that abuse allegations are dripping through.

I don’t mind doing a few of them, but don’t think i’ve completed any, just get bored of killing the same people over and over just in more and more contrived ways

“oh hey 47, could you kill these two guys please? but before you do, could you make sure you’re dressed as a chef please? and kill them both within 30 seconds of each other. with a massive sword, just because. and always have a gun out for…reasons. cheers!”

Smart players just grind mobs cause it’s faster :smirk:

I rest my case

Day 2 status update: Rarity now displays bags under their eyes which can generously be likened to an over stuffed bin bag. There is a film forming over her mouse and shes still grinding pigs. Crumbs are now forming at the base of her shoes and shes just picked up a quest to find 28 toenails

Alexis Kennedy (Fallen London/Sunless Seas/Cult Simulator) is next up in what is quickly becoming gaming’s #metoo moment. My first thought was, “but he writes so well and seemed so progressive!” because I’m an idiot man who apparently hasn’t learned anything about these guys operate. He sounds like a real piece of shit from all of the first hand accounts being tweeted by female devs atm.

Hope the women who’s lives and careers he’s effected find some peace in this finally being out in the open.

Not in the same scale, but have we seen all seen the continued fallout over Ion Storm over this weekend? Devs have well and truly chained themselves to the good ship of shit alt-right homophobic “jokes”.

Yeah, I can’t quite get my head round those guys. To stick to your guns on something like that is one thing but to apologise, get review bombed by turds and then apologise for your apology is a special kind of cowardice.

I imagine they’ll be getting some of that angry gamergate dollar out of this. Seems kind of a small pricetag to put on their integrity to me though.

The entire industry is 90% passive-aggressive guys, often on the spectrum, who want to avoid conflict at all costs but equally have zero desire to grow and improve themselves. It’s not a problem that can be fixed except by continuing to develop spaces other people feel comfortable doing the extremely tedious and taxing work of making video games.

I guess the one good thing about these incidents is that it makes it clear when a studio isn’t interested in creating such a space and so isn’t worth my time and money. It’s always disheartening to see devs agree with the goobers screaming censorship though - can’t help but feel like it’s a win for the dickheads.
