Corruption exhausted all the skills. Dark Embrace drew cards for each one exhausted. Sever Soul when I’ve got a full hand of guff.

Another 4 hours put into Death Stranding and it really is a unique gaming experience. Mellow but lots of pressure and at times so damn bizarre, I won’t go into spoilers but at times what you are doing in this game needs a double check. Recommended.

Posted a while ago about an expedition I’d joined in Elite Dangerous. The goal was to reach Saggitarius A*, the centre of the Milky Way, via a roundabout route that was relatively unexplored. It finished on Sunday with about 100 players reaching the destination, out of the 300-odd who signed up at the start.

Outside of the core systems that are mapped in real life, most of the galaxy is procedurally generated but to the scale of the Milky Way, so when you go exploring outside the ‘Bubble’, you go through mostly uncharted star systems and get to be the first to discover or map them and have your name put beside them as the discoverer.

Then on Sunday I finally docked in Explorer’s Anchorage, the space station at the centre of the galaxy. It being the first station I’d docked in in months meant I had to dock successfully in order to sell all my exploration data, or I’d lose all the money I’d earned through exploring over the last few months. Was sweating on the way in, not least when I got stopped by an NPC pirate! :sweat_smile:

Fucking hate PC gaming sometimes.

Got a new graphics card. Open up the ol’ rig to swap out the old one. Drop the case screw that’s holding the old card in place while removing it. Well, fuck, now there’s a bit of loose black metal rattling around in my black case somewhere, possible against the black motherboard or in amongst the black power cables.

Spend half an hour looking for it. Can’t find it. Can’t find it on the floor. Hoist it up on the table, get the torch out, get 'er indoors involved as well. It’s nowhere. Eventually resign myself to the fact that I’ve literally picked up and (gently) shaken the case and it’s not dislodged so it’s probably stuck somewhere safe. I hope.

Pick up the old graphics card. It rattles.

Yeah that sounds about right, my GTX970 got stuck in my PC and I got so angry that I bought a new desktop and threw a perfectly fine computer into the tip

I’ve been really lucky with mine, everything works exactly as it should. Except the DisplayPort connection stopped working for some reason and I still don’t know if it was my card or my monitor. Could check now with the new card but HDMI is fine. Oh and also if you reset it instead of shutting it down the ethernet stops working until you uninstall the ethernet drivers, delete the hardware device, rescan, and reinstall the drivers.
