I would be intrigued to know what they do with it. That game is interesting but was very rough, I saw it all the way through at the time but it was a slog.

Bloody loved this game when it came out, no idea what I’d make of it today mind you

In the mood for a platformer for some reason… Either hard or relaxing with some puzzle elements in the way of Fez would do. Any suggestions?

Thinking maybe Celeste

Oh also on PC preferably

Oh nice! It’s weird how quickly I’ve gone to “gah, too many games on the horizon”. Wairing for Disco Elysium to get a ps4 port and all

Sign up to Gamepass and play Ori & The Will of The Whisps

Or get Celeste… or do both!

It’s the brother version.

Now, do I finally beat papa Nier on PS3 or just wait.

It was fun. It entertained me. It’s very ugly even for a PS2 game. The epitome of a ‘AA’ title.

Had the time to do another Ironman XCom2 run. My fancy new computer loads up all the mods I use in seconds rather than minutes and turned what used to be an agonising experience into a joy. How’s it going otherwise, you ask?

…alright.

Found celeste to be fine but is pretty short and a bit repetitive. Play the first Ori!

I definitely agree with this version. Celeste is amazing, albeit hair-pulling-out frustrating at times… But then so satisfying.
Although I actually really enjoyed Ori as well. Will definitely get the sequel if it ends up on the Switch sometime.

I’d be surprised if it ends up on the switch due to the quality of animation, it’s a lot more densely packed and visually demanding than the first and not sure how easy it will be to scale down vs a traditional 3D game which can be as simple as downgrading textures, anti- aliasing and lighting effects.

Will be interesting to see if they do it though, but it is a far bigger ask than the first game

Completed the first five levels of Crash 2 last night.

Quite looking forward to FF7 Remake being the next game I play, though I’m also v hyped for this Nier remake (probably more hyped tbh)

I thought Nier Gestalt and Replicant were the same game with different localisations or something?

I mean it’s Yoko Taro, so I should’ve guessed it was more confusing!

Just seen Cane and Rinse are doing Curse of Monkey Island this year.

Off to Steam, I go

It’s the same game but with a brother and sister story instead of dad and daughter. In 2010, got got the dad version.

Had a zoom chat with some mates yesterday, one has responded to lockdown by buying a PlayStation and starting gaming again, he persuaded some of us to give Fortnite a go with him so downloaded it for Switch. No idea what was going on, and I don’t even mean in the game, I mean the menus, shop, locker etc, just completely baffling range of stuff, most of which is paywalled I think? I’m so ill-prepared for this stuff, just can’t get my head around it.

Anyway, managed to open up a game, died pretty quick though. Decided to try one more time, took it a bit slower, collected weapons, searched places, getting following the circles, killed a guy who burst into my shop, kept going, killed someone else, before I knew it I was top ten and there for the endgame, kept my tactical shotgun handy and kept moving, kept shooting, and BOOM. Won my second game. I’m a natural, didn’t even have to build shit.

What do I need to make a PS3 play on an iMac? Might dust the old whale off and move it into my office.

Hit a bit of a problem with one of the Ori combat shrines

Just need to slip a few racial slurs into your vocabulary and you can be the next Twitch superstar!
