Seem to be quite a few more up now, all steam though. I’m hoping for a PS4 or Switch title to appear.

Other downsides that show up with repeated plays are:
The unskippable cutscenes, which really become apparent in speedruns and when you get good at it and just hammer through the game. It begins to feel like a metal gear game with the gameplay and cut scene ratio
The lengthy non action story sequences - prison, orphanage, house exploration as kids, start of marooned. Anything with mandated walking.

Other than that, top notch all the way through

I’m quite glad they kinda eschewed the set pieces because by three they really felt rote and brought nothing new to the experience. Four has a lot more flow in terms of moment to moment stuff - like instead of having a near-miss where you think, ‘well that’ll crumble then he’ll grab onto that and on we’ll go,’ he’ll actually faceplant and then you’ll continue on a slightly different route. It felt less like it was on rails. Really liked flinging myself around as well. Get onto Lost Legacy though because I think they get the balance right a lot better in regards to the shortcomings you’ve talked about.

Uncharted 3 did feel weirdly rubbish didn’t it, kind of like a straight to DVD sequel

Enjoyed this about the making of Prince of Persia

Bounced off every Uncharted game I’ve tried. Started 4 last week which I’m enjoying more. The combat is what eventually turns me off. I just hate waves of bullet sponge enemies. Also can’t quite reconcile wise cracking Nate with mass murdering Nate. But in story telling terms they’re brilliant, especially 4 I think.

I absolutely cannot wait for TLOU2. I restarted the original today in preparation. Seeing it in 4K/HDR I can’t believe it’s essentially a last gen/7 year old game.

All of Nate’s kills are self defence though, they’re out to get him not the other way round. Therefore he’s a swashbuckling hero not a mass murderer.

going thru 27 pages of warframe patchnotes and seeing people complaining about more nerfs etc but all i can focus on is: “Decreased the amount of time between landing the killing shot to the enemy explosion on Fighters (0.1 - 1 sec) down from (1-3) seconds. The effect of this will be not only a quicker pace, but also a quicker time to spawn any drops”

thinking ‘good, gooooooooooood. the enemies drop LOOT much more quickly’

I initially refused to shoot anyone during the prison break, until the fuckers began shooting me.

I’m dealing with some masterful bargainers here.

Inspired by yer pal @still_he_persisted I’ve been replaying Uncharted 4 and mopping up a ton of trophies with a guide. Great game.

Also just got a couple of games in the post I completely forgot I’d ordered: Life is Strange 2, and Soul Reaver 2!

Anyone here played Dreams? Either to create or just to to play other people’s creations?

There’s a Demo on the PS Store. Not sure how restrictive this is.

Not installed it myself and I don’t want to distract from Bloodborne / Dark Souls at the moment. I have a few other games on the go but they are really just for breathers.

I’ve seen Evil Within 2 is on PS Store for 15 quid. Lockdown’s still going.

Whadda ya reckon?

  • dooo it dooo it

partly inspired by this excellent excellent video

I’ve seen it cheaper physical a few times

I enjoyed it more than the first game but it’s not amazing

I’m enjoying Life is Strange 2. I like episodic drama games and this is sweet.

I really liked Life is Strange 2 (except for the now fixed bug that erased my entire save file three episodes in, that is)

Yeah, I don’t think I have the time for it either at the moment. Maybe one to leave for the next gen as it sounds like they intend it to carry over.
