What’s the news on it?

I still have a bash every now and I then

No big news but they’re mucking around with things at the moment and I think it’ll slowly kill off the remaining playerbase - it’s now quite hard to find a game outside of when they have Gridfall available, and that’s only because it’s such a terribly executed mode.

Servers are only Europe-based at the moment and there are now only two multiplayer game modes which they’re rotating.

watched the resi 8 demo and a chunk of yahtzee playing oddworld: soulstorm and they both look shite

feeling low about next gen gaming today

I went back to Outriders for one more try before uninstalling it and have completely changed my opinion on it after another couple of hours, it’s really good fun. I get what you mean, it’s not actually a cover shooter despite looking like exactly like Gears Of War and having… cover everywhere, once I realised that you’re a bullet sponge and the walls are mainly there for the enemies to cower behind while you’re teleporting around everywhere and exploding their bodies off their skeletons with your laser sword, it clicked. The story and dialogue improved too, my character is a dumbass but he’s a funny dumbass.

12 month trial in Poland first doe? Seems odd

Lines up curiously close to when I removed all the gamerTM parts from my pc. Guess I was his lifeline

Had a good mooch around in Disco Elysium yesterday. Love the crawling pace of it and the music, after coming back to it a week later, is hooky in a very mellow way.

No issues with it running now on PS4 for me, it’s slow to load but hey, it sure feels like a quality and unique game.

I’ve started 2, it seems fine?

The problem I have with the AA games is that I want to play them as a casual, podcast in the background game but it ends up demanding your full attention.

Almost done with Hollow Knight - it’s just the pantheons/boss rush section now. Kind of looking forward to it as I really enjoyed the hardest boss in the game so far (the Grimm Nightmare) as difficult as it was by the time you learn all the move patterns and git gud it’s doable without even being hit.

Glad I returned to it, it’s a superb game

Don’t think I ever got good enough to find, let alone, beat that one. Great game

I finished that part but can’t remember now if I did it the sneaky way or not.

Gave up on the third trial I think. Zote felt like the hardest boss for me. Couldn’t believe how long it took me to beat him.

Very close to the end of God of War now. Finished the story the other night with two valkyries left to fight. Crazy how much easier combat is by the time you get to this point. Came back to Muspelheim having not been able to beat the second trial when I first unlocked it. Made it all the way up to level 5 without dying once.

The Cane and Rinse on Celeste made me realise I’d never tried the classic version so I fired it up and tracked it down last night:

Swear half of those deaths came on the last two screens. Fun game though!

And another. Seems the game doesn’t want me to enter the bookstore anymore

And a 3rd time. Now I can’t go into frittte. Game is seriously unstable

I love how they made a version of that game (I believe it has every level) specifically to work in a PICO emulator and stuffed into the game"

Yeah, that’s how I played it, inside proper Celeste

To clarify for the board Celeste isnt an old game - they just made a retro version alongside the main game and put it into the game as a neat side activity (there is a computer in the game you can play on)
