I just completed it - really impressive stuff, apart from when it succumbed to a big ol’ exposition dump at one point. One of the top tier sci-fi games for sure. Hexagons are the best.
90% of it is not worth doing fortunately.
I’m still so angry at the amount of time I spent on that game. What a waste.
Always feels like the more streamlined action was a massive compromise in the face of not being able to do as much as they’d promised. Didn’t help that Dishonoured came out around the same time and did a great job bringing all that immersive sim stuff
Fucking hate the aesthetic as well, so many of the designs are complete shit.
I’m quite enjoying it though. Love just wandering around and VATS-ing raiders in the head and collecting cool shit
Is it that bad? So far it just seems like FO3/NV but bigger and with annoying power armour
(caveat: I’m generally not too fussed about the storyline or plot in massive games like this)
I think for me, it just kind of deflates quicker. I think they wanted it to seem like there was always something to do - but it just led to there still being loads of side quests, but with more and more of them as you go on just being the same old “there’s some mutants at a bus stop” stuff
exactly this - none of the side quests are any fun (except the robots on a ship one), it’s just go to a place and shoot some raiders over and over again.
Nearly finished Dishonoured 2 DLC, it’s so good and Rosario Dawson is brilliant in it, I am actually able to get past her being a Hollywood star most of the time
This is what made me love it.
Do all the side quests and find all of the weird weapons.
Go everywhere and drink Nuka cola.
