Yeah Nintendo and Sega would be a good fit weird as that sounds, a lot of fun first old school game design. Wouldn’t want Sega to be restricted to making big budget AAA games to appeal to the west.

Agreed. Nintendo bringing Sega and Capcom in but letting them work on whatever but with the full cash and skills backup of Nintendo would have been something cool.

Been playing a bit of dream cast recently and it’s a pity they fucked it.
32x segacd, saturn etc made them shit the bed before dream cast came out tbf.

yeah the controller was…OK, obviously the SNES was better on that front but still a capable machine, faster processor than the SNES I believe so could do faster scrolling stuff like Sonic and some of the side scrolling shooters like Thunderforce. Amazing soundchip too, much better music imo
