I wasn’t directing the snobbery comment at you specifically. I was just trying to explain why I feel so defensive of this game because it feels like my precious baby is being dismissed XD

It’s the only Telltale game I ever saw to completion, just so charming and touching by the end. Also, they do fun things with the “they will remember that” stuff that made me laugh out loud. There is also the robot battle that is ridiculous but great.

My fav being hqne you punch a character in the face and it goes ‘×××××’s face will remember that’ made me legit laugh out loud

Demo for Outriders (Square Enix does Destiny) is out. Going to try it and remember I don’t like shooters.

Is not liking Resident Evil 7 considered a hot take around these parts? A really underwhelming 8 and a half hours.

Starts off well enough when it’s essentially a puzzle horror for the first two hours, but once it gets shooty the player is far too sluggish. Hated the boss fights with Jack. Really didn’t like the insect level and the ship was a huge chore. Also felt OP from about halfway through.

Doesn’t help last Resi I played was 2 remake which is obviously fantastic. Of the 4 mainline games I’ve played I’d have to say 4>2>1>7.

i was pretty surprised by how acclaimed it was tbh. it’s like the worst parts of found footage horror with some cheesy texas chainsaw massacre elements. a walking simulator like amnesia with shite combat. boggles my mind that people like it.

obviously resi 5 and 6 were absolute turd so maybe people were just grateful.

It seems shite from the coverage I’ve seen. Would try the demo for myself but I have insane levels of looter fatigue

I would love a new Resi game like RE2. Zombies, moderately scary, ridiculous puzzles involving statues, cheesy script, underground labs.

I have no interest in 7 at all, not even on Game Pass.

Sad that I didn’t write in to this week’s Cane and Rinse episode

Me and my sibling used to sit crosslegged on the floor watching in awe as dad played Duke Nukem 3D shooting pigs

7 in vr is incredible.

The Last of Us 2 has predictably got a ton of nominations for the Gaming BAFTAs yet is missing from the ‘Narrative’ award. Is that not a bit of a strange omission?

It is however nominated for a ‘Game Beyond Entertainment’ award whatever the fuck that means.

Guess its a way to give an award a game that isn’t designed to entertain or be fun

I mentally consider it the Spec Ops The Line Award i guess

Basically convinced Ashley Johnson and Laura Bailey are my BFFs now so I’m ecstatic about this news

I assume they will be introducing a ‘film/tv show beyond entertainment’ award at their main event? Feels like cultural snobbery.

Only one can win though so you’re going to have to choose between them.

Think its because its still considered an exception in gaming and it very much is but yeah ur right

Laura Bailey. I take this as another opportunity to tell another person to play Tales of the Borderlands ha. And she’s great opposite Troy Baker in it.

Anyway.

Anybody want Cyberpunk on PS4 for £20?

Keep it it will be a collectors item one day
