Had to watch a few online playthroughs to get a good strategy. There’s an easy(ish) way to get an extend by milking the rocks in the volcano level, which helps a lot, then if you can take a hyper into the Jitterbug fight you can just about manage him without using a bomb, which gives you back two full life bars (it can be worth taking a hit from him in some cases). Then for Tyranosatan you can just bomb away, though once I realised you can use targeting magic for the middle phase, he wasn’t that intimidating.

Definitely getting into the game more now. I still having to Google a lot of the basics controls as it doesn’t really tell you how to do a lot of things and the constant changing between button presses and holding down a button has me frequently doing the wrong thing but the few quests I have done have been a lot of fun and I am getting to grips with the combat more.
The saving is just mental, don’t lock standard saving behind a craftable finite item or have me have to quit out of the game every time I want to save!

I been playing over the weekend after picking it up on PSN, and I like it so far. I tried a demo on steam before and bounced off it, but this time it’s sticking better. Nice one for playing while listening to a podcast.
Started playing Mass Effect legendary edition having never played it in its original version. Only early into the first game but super impressed with the visuals, the music, the voices and the storytelling so far. Also, having played Starfield before this I’m really struck by the similarities, as well as how much better ME has already done at hammering home the feeling of being in a vast, alien universe and the opportunities of that. It also feels like it wanted to tell a very similar story.

Agreed its a very odd save mechanic for a game that will likely take many hours to complete to have. I think I have got out of the tutorial now, just going to chill and take it easy levelling up and getting to grips with the basics before I proceed with the main quest. I like how you don’t really have to worry about levelling up or allocating stats, just get gradually better with everything as you go on. The bandit at the old ladies house kicked my arse a few times then one time I just spammed the attacks and he started fleeing so I cut him down in the woods whilst his mate got away. I’ve heard its worth seeking out Tomcat who can teach you something that will make combat a bit easier.
