It was indeed. Great guy Mike. Will check it out!

Signed up for GOG just so I could vote for Oni being released on there. Totally forgot it was a Rockstar/Bungie oddity. Would love to give it another go.

Hard to think of a studio I want to succeed more than this one right now

The bit about the wedding is so cheese but so lovely

Thoroughly enjoyed Plague Tale Resonance. Just a good linear, one and done, single player, narrative driven adventure.

Sorry, wasn’t meant to be a reply.

Funnily enough I have just started this for the first time. I am terrible at shooters. Obviously there’s more to this than just shooting, but every time there’s a big shooty bit I am rubbish.

It’s all about Launch. Once you get that power just be flinging things (and people) all over the office.

That State of Play was a bit of a disaster imo.

Kepper on PS5 is a good one, but the rest was a bit “yeesh”. the LEGO PS looks nice, but it being a huge announcement at the SOP was a bit crap

For people boycotting MS Double fine got rights and will get the cash from future purchases of their games so ‘Keeper’ should be back on the table - I recommend it for people partial to a lil walking sim

Always Be Launching.

Pump all your points into it.

Shooting is only for when you’re waiting to do more launching.

You can get official Ikea allen keys and Kallax furniture in Skyrim now, so that’s good

Noted, thank you! In one early fight it feels like you have to shoot, but otherwise that’s the impression I’ve been getting.

Knew it wouldn’t be a big one seeing as we’re about 3 months out to the game awards. I’m always gonna be excited by FF7 footage though. One thing they didn’t mention is there are premium editions on the preorder which include a “story expansion pass” which are significantly more expensive than the standard edition. I’m guessing will be chunky DLCs for that at some point in 2028 - presumably Advent Children and/or Dirge of Cerberus (or even Crisis Core) related.

There’s a trick with flying enemies where they’ll dodge the first launch but not a quick follow up one.

One of the underrated reasons why these games rule supreme over this age is that they provide the basis for so much timeless physical comedy.

Finished Mortal Shell 2. Really enjoying the game, some excellent boss fights especially towards the end. Going to have a ponder then sum up my thoughts in the games completed thread.

Thought I might boot up the Onimusha: Way of the Sword demo to have a quick play through to decide if I am picking it up tomorrow and didn’t realise they had added additional content to the demo from when they first released it.

If youre really stuck there are options in game to make yourself invincible/have one shot kills. Obviously wouldn’t recommend throughout but I used it a couple of times when I couldnt be arsed

The difficulty settings are remarkably comprehensive compared to most games, much to Remedy’s credit. I messed with them a bit for one of the bosses because it was doing my tits in.
