I really enjoyed Witcher 1 when it came out, but found it really difficult to replay a couple of years ago because of itā€™s treatment of female characters. Didnā€™t get more than 10 hours or so into Witcher 2 because of the same problem.

Not that itā€™s the only games that do this, but itā€™s just embarrassing. So many times Iā€™d be praying someone didnā€™t walk into the room and start watching!

Witcher 1ā€™s pretty bad in that respect. Witcher 2 isā€¦ tolerable, no more than that. Cuts down the ā€œNot really necessary this, is it matesā€ moments from about 20 to 6.

Itā€™s ultimately encouraging and inspiring to me that the writer team improved so markedly with each iteration.

Are you playing on PC? Can you get a solid 60fps? Iā€™m a bit worried, I have a beast of a pc and Iā€™m hearing even thatā€™s not going to cut it.

recently been playing:

Hearthstone - Iā€™m super addicted to this. I just find it both intense and relaxing at the same time in a weird way, itā€™s the perfect after work game for an hour or so. Not really got into any online gaming since waaaay back when Halo: Reach came out so I think itā€™s scratching some of that itch in a weird way.

Burnout Paradise - Never played this on last gen but got it for PC, wow itā€™s super dumb fun!

Dipping in and out of CNC3 as well, holds up really well and is pretty tough on hard (I only ever want to play the campaigns in this stuff).

Really silly of me to spend so much money on a gaming PC to play all these old games, but good is good I guess!

On high it goes between 40 to 60 for me, not smooth sadly but still enjoying it. Might be worth waiting for a few patches if you want smooth or nothing.

it does look like a really good game to just chill out in, put on a podcast and mess about aimlessly. uuuurgh Iā€™m going to have to buy it arenā€™t I? Itā€™s not like MS will put it on sale any time soon.

It is excellent. You just drive about and do little tasks if youā€™d like. And I love just looking at the community created skins for every car.

Been enjoying this years edition of Fifa a lot, feels great to play and doesnt seem to be as concerned with sticking pre canned animations which makes it feel a lot more responsive than the last version I played for any decent amount of time (15). Journey mode has a corney as fuck story but its damned enjoyable in itā€™s dumb way, currently have beeves with Harry Kane because hes taken my damned spot, and my father doesnā€™t love me :ā€™ā€™ā€™ā€™ā€™(

Burnout Paradise! Spent so much time on that, great driving game, ridiculous fun! Hours spent trying to do the big stunt jump through the rings in that area thatā€™s off the track :smiley:

I still play loads of old games, even got Dungeon Keeper 1 working, love that game!

I donā€™t think I ever played the first one but I loved DK2. I imagine itā€™s not so easy on the eyes now though. Was great just digging out the rooms etcā€¦kinda want to play that now!
