Get outta here

i’m around about the same stage, i struggled badly to begin with as i just wanted to run in all guns blazing on every mission, quickly realised this was extremely foolish!

Quite want to book a day off and dedicate like 8 hours solid playing time to it but I can’t really justify that

Still playing skyrim, still having fun. It did that fun glitch where the giants hit you and you go flying like mad in the air which was fun. Fun

did this several times during the christmas holidays, would recommend

You should have tried being cursed before they patched out curse stacking. Having your health bar cut down to an eighth of it’s usual size made things…tricky.

New Mass Effect gameplay.

Trying to keep my expectations low for this game, even though I loved the original trilogy. Can see it having a lot of the same problems that Dragon Age Inquisition did…

Certainly looks good visually but I’d like to see more of the non-combat stuff.

Wait what? Where? In The Depths?

No. I thought he was talking about missing the bonfire at the bottom of Blighttown.

Aahh! Can’t imagine how torturous not finding that must be. Probably one of my most needed ones. I suck at blighttown

Oh no i got that one. Almost as good a feeling as beating O&S!

Should Switch stuff go in the Switch thread or are we happy having stuff about it in here?

Just thought I’d post this, seems like Nintendo isn’t too sure when they’re going to release Zelda, and they might be rushing through testing just to get it released in time…

wife is playing FFXV, they’re driving around in their car listening to final fantasy music on the stereo. it’s cracking me up.

Ive now got a PS4. only played wwe 16 and Uncharted 4 so far. also got a game called Dying Light but not had a chance to play - any good? any recommendations as well for open world games like GTA…was gonna get Mafia 3 but i heard its a bit shite

also can anyone remember what game on the PS1 demo disc let you play as a dolphin (not Fluid or Ecco the Dolphin)

Agreed. I also think I look back at the triogy with starry eyes a bit. After The Witcher, I think any RPG will struggle to be full on amazing.

It’ll be a day one for me but I’m not getting overly hyped for it.

The first game was a properly great piece of space opera in a fantastically imagined and created universe. Shame the game itself was a bit shit, like.

By the second game they’d moved on most of the original writing team and had been bought out by EA besides. The character writing was great and managed to involve you in a story which was properly terrible and completely broke what the first game had set out, on reflection. The game itself was servicable.

In the third game them not properly setting up an over-arching story came back to bite them on the arse and the writing is properly, properly awful, insultingly bad if you replay it. The game itself was actually good, good enough that the dreaded stapled-on multiplayer was really good.

Tl;dr Bioware’s game craftsmanship improved as the series went on, their writing furiously pedalled backwards.

Mirrors edge Catalyst is £9 on psn - is it worth that?

Proper games, proper haircuts

I bloody loved Dying Light. It’s quite hard to begin with but once you start unlocking powers (and especially a bit later on the grappling hook) it becomes more of a zombie playground and you’ll start to poop your pants at night time a bit less.
