Would be really curious to read a book or long-read from someone well versed in social history about how coke has now filtered down to working class towns to the point where it’s now part of football games, protests, weddings/funerals/gatherings and how that affects violence and the fabric of communities, compared to alcohol usage.
So much of today’s protest is just so… cokey. It’s a way different type of energy to just a bunch of pissed up British lads.
