Tell you what I think is SHITE right, are houses with big integrated garages that take up loads of the downstairs floor space.
They’re an american thing, designed for houses with a huge sq footage. UK houses are mostly tiny and then you have a big garage right in the middle where you could have another livingroom or something.
Will NEVER buy a house with one.

Uk garages = full of garden furniture, bits of old carpet, knackered shelves containing old cans of paint, bikes, other stuff which can’t fit in the shed.

Uk garages are not used for cars.

I have a garage but I don’t have a car. There is absolutely nothing in my garage.
