nice

I mean, I don’t really need any more classic vintage drum machine samples but I’ll take them anyway

thanks

Quite the price drop

yeah i think i probably have 10+ 808 kicks and i’ve not even really tried that hard to build a collection

10 lol

My entire drum sample library - vintage machines, huge 60s/70s breaks collection, a fuck ton of loops and sample packs collected over the years + a shit ton of analog/modular percussion packs etc

about 200 gb

still, it’s either going to be an 808, LinnDrum or [secret weapon layered modular] kick

silly really

hahaha good work

the MacBook i use for producing only has a 256gb drive. [ssd tho so it is great]

I ordered one through my local guitar shop but Fender took so long to get stock to the UK that I got bored and cancelled the order. Still kinda want one but can’t justify it currently.

the fernandes sustainer pickups aren’t that expensive, might explore putting one of those in a squier or something, bonus of not having to have a strat

My wife has offered me her worn out Mac Pro to factory reset and get Logic up and running on…she has no boot disks or anything, how hard would this be to do? Is it easy to obtain software for a Mac from the internet?

Got a donation of a Kimbara branded Strat copy that’s from the mid-seventies. Mad mix of pickups in it. Neck pickup is stock, middle pickup is a Maxon humbucker that I need to date and that bridge pickup is a GFS copy of an SD Hot Rails. Last one measures around 18K.

Someone tried a DIY scalloping job on the fretboard which is a crying fucking shame as the neck itself is beautiful. Have to rewire it and set it back up now. Will fire up some pictures when I can.

I think if you factory reset it then the operating system would still be there, then you could just buy Logic from the app store

literally winced in pain reading this

Great. Can you buy older versions of Logic from the app store? I just want it as a audio recorder

I dont think so, but it comes with garageband for free which will probably do the job if just simple audio, it basically is logic with the advanced features locked down

Behringer are going after everything (and seem to be doing it better than their guitar pedals)

Does anyone want a Yamaha THR5 (not 5A)? Now that I’ve got a separate amp and an audio interface it’s surplus to requirements.

How much?

Throw a tenner at the charity of your choosing if you like, otherwise free. It’s just taking up valuable pedal space at this point.

I thought it was a usb interface rather than a practice amp. Thanks for the kind offer, but someone else should take it

It’s both, but I didn’t really rate it as a USB interface (noisy, amp sims don’t feel like an amp to me) which is why I replaced it.

My new computer monitor should hopefully be delivered tomorrow, which will allow me to put together my new home recording set-up:

Amp -> Universal Audio OX -> Steinberg UR-RT4 -> new Windows PC with Cubase
