I’m thinking about liquidating some of my records so I can get that Mustang.

Impulse brought a ms70CDR largely because it has a gated reverb and a reverse reverb, and what’s the point in having a jazzmaster without those?

Huge fan of these pedals - only had mine a month or so, but i think it sounds amazing

They do seem like massive value for money

They put a glossy neck on the new Squier Super-Sonics. Ahm oot.

might buy some IRs

gonna swap out the hum buckers in the minijazzmaster with gfs surf 90’s next week. annoyingly there is wiring ambiguity, three wires, white, red, bare, the diagrams on the gfs site show white, red, black. can deduce the bare one is the black one but don’t really know for sure.

gfs pickups now have quite a good thing where once you have soldered in the wires, you can detach the pickup and slot any of their others in, making it really easy to try out different ones. they have loads i’d give a go, gold foil, lipstick, filtertrons. they are about as cheap as it gets, but the surf 90s are great, so might give some others a shot

Been putting off buying a laptop that actually works for years now

Got one arriving today - being able to install an updated OS on my Digitakt and Digitone was the tipping point it seems

So boring, could have got a couple of swanky pedals or some really decent headphones for the same money. Instead I will have something more or less the same as my work laptop (which I can’t use for non work stuff obvs)

been really into my Ditto X4 recently, my Aeros should have replaced it really, but I just really like the X4 playback effects, and I think that ‘decay’ knob is pretty crucial as it stops the layers getting too dense (I record something on loop 1, and then let loop 2 have the decaying layers). Trouble is i’ve noticed the midi sync is a little off, it will slice off the beginning of my first note, thought it was probably my poor timing but the Aeros doesn’t. Annoying, can set a +/- 200ms delay on the clock from my DAW but so far my trial and error approach isn’t working very well.

Anyway while trying to look into various beta firmware builds I saw someone from TC electronics say their Plethora X5 will be getting looper functionality in the next firmware, that is quite exciting, potentially 5 looper blocks, hopefully utilising the midi connectivity

tried to update the ditto x4 knowing full well most of the time this ends up with it being bricked, think it is bricked

like Lazarus it has come back to life, think the midi sync has improved too with the update, still cuts off a little bit of the first note but think that is because I tend to be slightly ahead of the beat, definitely seems closer tot he Aeros now

didnt realise you could buy the johnny marr jaguar bridge separately, mustang style but with 52mm spacing, ordered one, this will be the 7th or 8th bridge I have tried on my jazzmaster
