I… don’t know…

I’ve had it for about 45 minutes, and managed to set it up in between work calls. Got to read the manual…

must be… can see why you’d want a delay between your gate/trigger and the attack

The 909 would make my life if it was at a similar price point

Anyone know why the behringer 606 so cheap compared to the 808 clone - I mean the 808 still seems ridiculous value but the 606 is almost suspiciously so, but sounds great from demos anyway

The 808 clone is physically bigger and more substantial that these isn’t it?

Hadn’t check the dimensions, but yeah, it’s significantly smaller, and the 808 has a filter, dedicated midi thru, etc… suppose that’ll do it!

more complex sequencer too

I am sure at some point I’ll spring for an analogue drum machine if some type or other. My Digitakt has the samples but it must be so great to be able to tweak all the knobs without having to go through menus and stuff. Plus sound creation workflow is different. If I want an 808 snare sound I have to start with an 808 sample, which is already just one version of an actual 808 snare setting. If I want to fundamentally change the sound I need to change the sample. Just would be so nice to be able to tweak the sounds in real time like that. Obvs I can tweak on the Digitakt but only in a more “one thing at a time “ kind of way

Id still use the Digitakt for sequencing and other samples and stuff though

Oh hello!

See this new Squier Paranormal tele with a JM body thing?

Hit play and you’ll see that it’s actually routed for a strat middle pickup and neck humbucker too. Iiiiiiiinteresting.

Ah just buy a fuckin 52 reissue tele and you have access to every sound you ever need fuckin fuckin

Sorta bump - decided I want a Parker Fly (one of the proper ones) - cannot find one for love nor money, which is strange seeing as when they were in production no-one gave a shit about them. If anyone sees one for sale, give me a shout yeah? Might be a finders fee in it for you.*

*As fucking if

finally ordered than callaham telecaster modified for bigsby bridge. shall I attempt to do this mod myself (drilling three holes for the bridge, two for the stoptail piece studs to put the les trem 2 on)

  • seems very do-able
  • don’t risk wrecking your beloved mini-jazzmaster

Is replacing an input and a power button doable for my first soldering attempt? Mc303 is a bit fucked up and I don’t want to sell it and make it someone else’s problem
