I’m quite taken by this not that I could afford it

and some badass machine heads

Think I’m gonna stick some Nylon strings on my acoustic. I tend to play it with my fingers rather than a pick and I reckon it’ll play and feel nicer. I know I need to get ball-end rather than fully traditional, but not sure what to go for.

Anyone got any recommendations? @Bamnan maybe?

what’s your scale length? Classical guitars are usually at least half an inch longer in scale than regular acoustics

Have you considered silk and steel strings?

No idea frankly. From what I’ve been looking at ball-end nylons are designed to fit regular acoustics without much trouble

this is true but the scale difference & tension difference could be enough that you get buzzy/annoyingly low action

silk & steel strings as @ttf points out may be the compromise you’re looking for

Seems like these could do the job actually.

I’ve got them on my gretsch parlour, really like them. None of that normal acoustic clangyness

Just ordered some. Worth a go! Hadn’t even heard of them before, so thanks!

I once asked for them in a guitar shop and was told they don’t exist
