I got a Mooer Fuzz Face clone the other day and it’s the most ridiculously input-sensitive pedal I’ve ever owned. Absolutely needs to be at the front of the signal chain, and even then it does nothing if the guitar volume is 7 or lower then has a huge dynamic range between about 8 and 8.3.

£60 well spent.

My fuzz face alike is a Thorpy The veteran - it is a silicon type fuzz with a treble booster in the same pedal

It has 2 extra controls on the fuzz side - one for bias and a smooth control. Fiddling with those really gives lots of scope for adjusting from big fat sustain to more kind of low gain an spitty. The treble boost is great for lots of stuff I’ve found, but I don’t actually use it with the fuzz that often I’m finding

I also have an EQD Black Ash which is a tone bender type and sounds ace - it was a limited run of 200 though so I doubt it would be easy to get hold of one now for a reasonable price

Took my guitar in fir a setup last fri, they said it’ll be done ‘probably early next week’ so called em on weds and they were like nah not ready yet, we’ll call you when it’s ready. It’s now friday and havent heard from them and i have band practice tonight and no guitar. Irkage level high.

Hoping the third gen focusrite scarlets devalue the 2nd gen so I can get a 2i4 on the cheap. Still irked my 2i2 doesn’t do stereo direct monitoring when it blatantly should

Just been in Dawson’s and all the 2nd gen Focusrite’s are reduced might be worth a look if you are after one
