I voted reverb but only if you don’t already have some kind of reverb on your amp. Otherwise go delay

Warhammer!

came up with idea for a loop pedal that should exist but doesnt I think. should be the same form factor as the ditto x4 but the 4 switches should be for 4 separate tracks, there should be a mode so that the loop recording cascades across the tracks, so that when you stop recording one track the next one starts recording (maybe with a toggle switch on each loop so you can set how many get cascaded), that rather than a loop with overdubs where you can only undo/redo the last layer (always a bit abrupt and easy to mess up), you would have 4 separate layers that you can bring in and out as you like, the cascade thing would be so that you could do it all in one go in real time rather than having to wait for the loop to circle round again before you record a new track. i’m annoyed this doesnt exist.

been looking at the looper market again to see if there is one that does everything I want, so many companies dont understand why no one gets it right, serial and sync mode, playback based effects, midi sync, memory slots.

been looking into the EHX 95000 looks quite promising, just the playback effects dont seem foot accessible, has reverse and half speed, ideally would want double speed, think I basically want the ditto x4 with memory slots (might get some kind of cheap android device to keep with it so I can use to store the loops)

Can I shock you? Going to buy a new pedal tomorrow.

the £30 Belcat tremolo that’s a clone of the Boss one

Oh actually I’ve got a really boring question: anyone got any preferences on patch leads? I’ve got a couple knocking around that are proper tone suckers and I think I want to standardise everything now.

Why not just get a midi foot controller and use ableton/max msp

You are right, that is a boring question. I think as long as you don’t go crazy cheap they are more or less the same unless you are a total tyre sniffer.

I get spooked by the idea (probably more than the reality) of latency, does it work well though?

Guess it’s depend on your system and n that but yeah…

I generally use the solder less ones from Boss or whoever because my pedal board is a right old squeeze and you can cut them to your required length and they’re pretty low profile. Pretty reliable too so long as you take care when you’re first putting them together.

If you don’t use a fixed pedalboard then they’re probably a bit of overkill tbh.

Make your own :man_shrugging:

Just another reminder that I’d love to hear some of your bloops and bleeps should you ever decide to share them!

This thing gets astonishingly good reviews:

Kind of want one or a Gretsch Streamliner but I’m resisting for now.

+1 on what @McGarnagle said

Really want to get a Digitone now, mainly cos it’ll look nice sat next to my Digitakt

This PDF-2 thing is immense, btw. The expression pedal is wank and I’ll probably try to sell it, but using it in clean mode as a boost with a very tuneable mid bump is brilliant for changing the character of other dirt pedals.

Like my Fuzz Face clone is a bit thin sounding on its own, which is fine for its particular sound, but stick the PDF-2 in front of it and it becomes this immense thick girthy wall of fuzz. Love it.
